Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• RN must be proficient in reading and interpreting tele strips
• Must be able to titrate drips
• COVID vaccination is required

Schedule and Unit Expectations

• Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage is required
• Ratios: 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:5-6 for Floor
• Tele is present on the unit, with tele techs posting strips each shift
• RT is in-house 24/7
• Vents are present on the unit
• Charge Nurse and Transport RN are present at optimal staffing
• Nurse aides are typically present on the unit

Submission Notes

• Only one submission at a time is allowed across the WVU system
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must have been gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who were there for 1 full year must have been gone for 2 years
• A current, unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license must be included
• Travel teams must be submitted together in one email
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
