Overview

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona
• Facility: Teaching hospital in Phoenix with a 607-bed tertiary care setting
• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Unit: ED / Trauma
• Beds: Acute 36, Subacute 54, Trauma bays 6

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• 2 years of ER experience
• Level I Trauma experience
• Teaching experience
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• Cerner EMR experience
• Must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience as core/perm staff
• Must be gone from CommonSpirit for 12 months as perm staff to be considered for a travel assignment
• Must pass the Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam prior to acceptance
• Must complete onboarding by 1 pm CST Wednesday before start
• Must have their own vehicle
• Must not work another assignment/contract while working for Dignity AZ
• No facial piercings
• Natural hair colors only
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC
• ATCN

Schedule / Work Expectations

• 4 weekend shifts per month
• Travelers may be floated between St. Joseph's Main, St. Joseph's Westgate, AZ General Laveen, and the two free-standing ERs in Litchfield Park and Glendale
• First to float
• May be expected to have nursing students
• Navy scrubs

Additional Notes

• ENPC is not allowed to replace PALS
• Telemetry uses Phillips monitors; must be able to read strips
• RT manages vents
• 24/7 RT and Pharmacy coverage
• 2–3 floor orientation shifts
• SIMs Lab is required for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus and/or St. Joseph Westgate campus, except for ED-specific exceptions noted in the source
