Overview

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona
• Setting: ED / Trauma
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• 2 years of core experience in the specialty being submitted to
• Level I Trauma experience
• Teaching experience
• 2 years ER experience
• At least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience, core/perm staff
• Cerner EMR experience
• Must be gone from CommonSpirit for 12 months as perm staff to be considered for a travel assignment
• Cannot work another assignment/contract while working for Dignity AZ
• Must have their own vehicle
• Must pass the Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam prior to acceptance, with a maximum of 2 attempts
• Must complete onboarding by 1pm CST Wednesday before start
• Must be able to read strips on Phillips monitors

• TNCC
• ATCN

Unit Details

• Acute: 36 beds
• Subacute: 54 beds
• Trauma bays: 6
• Ratio: 1:4
• 2 Charge RNs
• 4 PCTs for sitters

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Weekly orientations on Mondays, except holiday weeks
• 4 weekend shifts per month at unit discretion
• Floor orientation: 2-3 shifts
• May float first to sister campus Westgate or AZ General Laveen, FSED West Valley, Litchfield Park, and Glendale
• Can be floated midshift

Additional Notes

• Navy scrubs
• Travel teams are expected to have their own vehicles
• No facial piercings and only natural hair colors
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Travelers may have nursing students
• ED does Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change during SIMs Lab
• ENPC does not replace PALS
• Cath Lab will not consider tech/RN teams
