Respiratory Therapist

Overview

• Travel assignment in Redwood City, California
• 13-week contract
• Night shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
• Department: RT
• Average of 2 RT treatments depending on census; assignments are based on acuity
• Approximately 25–30 acuities per shift
• Vents: Yes
• RT available 24/7

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience
• Active BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• PALS
• California license
• Certified RT
• Must have Pediatric and Adult experience

Preferred Qualifications

• NICU experience

Schedule

• Every other weekend
• Holidays worked into the permanent staff holiday schedule
• Shifts are 6:30–6:30 for both day and night shifts

Additional Details

• Charge RT and Lead therapist handle admin days and assist with treatments
• Lead therapist is on site 1–2 days per week
• Hospitalist and Intensivist are in house, not 24/7, and on-call after hours
• Pharmacy is in house until 10 pm, with 24/7 access after hours via auto verification and an on-call pharmacist
• Floor-specific orientation depends on experience and is 1–3 days
• Typical inpatient population requiring respiratory therapy
