Physical Therapist Job Opportunity
Location: Kimball, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours: 40 hours per week (typically 4x10-hour shifts, common shift times 7am–3pm or 8am–4pm)
Job Overview
- Provide physical therapy services to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, including high school athletes.
- Work primarily with outpatient caseload, as well as inpatient, swingbed, and local athletics.
- Focus on restoring movement, reducing pain, and improving function following injury, illness, or disability.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to promote patient independence and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and clinical students.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
Patient Population & Department
- Patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and athletes.
- Rehab department includes inpatient, swingbed, outpatient, and local athletics.
- Therapists comfortable with joint replacements and post-operative care are a good fit; training available for splinting and related skills.
- Department includes hand and orthopedic surgery support.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Nebraska
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Recent Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
