Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in the specialty
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PCOT
• Must have ventilatory skills
• Must be able to work by themselves

Preferred Qualifications

• RRT preferred
• Peds experience preferred

Role Details

• CRT is acceptable
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED
• Mostly adult patients; ED may include adults, peds, and neonates, and L&D neonates occasionally
• About 50-75+ treatments per day depending on census
• Day shift has 2 RTs for inpatient and 1 RT for outpatient
• Night shift has 1 RT for inpatient
• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Floating includes the ER, where one person is assigned a lighter load
• Department orientation is 2-3 days
• RTs assist with intubation, not independently intubate
• Job duties include vent management, ABG draws, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, nebs, MDIs, Flutter/Airway Clearance, nocturnal pulse ox setup, and blood gases
