RN First Assist

Overview

• Contract role in Mauston, Wisconsin.
• Day shift: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• 36 hours per week.
• Call includes one weekend per month and 7 additional nights of call during the month.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• First Assist (1 year of experience).
• First Assist experience within the last year.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of related operating room/surgical experience.

Role Summary

• Assists the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other technical tasks during surgery.
• Assists with sterile supplies, instruments, equipment, and drapes.
• Assists with patient positioning, visualization, wound closure, drainage systems, and use of surgical equipment.
