Diagnostic Imaging Technologist (Rad/CT Technologist)
Location: Harlowton, Montana
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
Perform CT scans and X-rays using state-of-the-art, noninvasive computerized technology to assist providers in diagnosing, evaluating, and treating medical conditions in a 25-bed critical access facility. The role supports exceptional patient care and outcomes in a flexible, supportive environment.
Schedule
- Day shift with weeknight and weekend on-call rotation
- 10-hour shifts
- Facility operates 24/7; schedules may be adjusted as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Montana State Radiologic Technologist License (required by law)
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (required)
- Current BLS CPR certification (required)
- Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT (preferred but not required)
- Excellent organizational, critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray and CT exams according to department protocols, adhering to ACR standards and ALARA radiation safety principles
- Perform EKG exams for outpatients and as needed in the hospital; maintain EKG cart supplies
- Complete beginning and end of day duties, including stocking and managing supplies
- Report malfunctioning equipment and document safety issues per protocol
- Obtain patient history and exam-related information; ensure appropriate scans for diagnosis
- Prepare patients for exams and provide follow-up instructions as applicable
- Review orders, prior exams, labs, and patient history; complete accurate documentation
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled

- Years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging: Not explicitly stated; standard expectation for licensed RTs applies
