Diagnostic Imaging - Contract Position
Location: Juneau, Alaska
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging professional with strong Radiology Department Management skills. This role involves overseeing radiology program activities, managing staff, ensuring quality and compliance, and maintaining radiology equipment and policies.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Radiology Department Management experience, including managing a team of technologists (required).
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist.
- PACS training required.
- Experience with CT and MRI technologists preferred.
Certifications & Licenses
- Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology.
- Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required.
- Registered Mammographer and Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Flu vaccine required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations related to radiology services.
- Familiarity with digitized imaging and MQSA requirements.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple computer systems.
- Ability to supervise and evaluate radiology staff, including those not directly supervised.
- Ability to complete MQSA requirements and maintain quality assurance/control activities.
- Ability to write radiology manuals and document medical information clearly.
- Ability to create a strong team environment and learn new imaging exams as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all activities of the Radiology program.
- Track and ensure proper submission and reporting of radiology studies.
- Provide PACS training to appropriate employees.
- Assist with radiology transcription issues.
- Ensure radiology equipment maintenance and regulatory inspections.
- Collaborate with clinic administrators and medical directors to ensure quality.
- Manage radiology equipment quotes and radiation protection monitoring programs.
- Work with Finance to maintain radiology chargemaster and identify revenue opportunities.
- Ensure all quality assurance/control activities are completed.
- Prepare necessary reports and conduct lead apron testing.
- Supervise radiology employees daily, perform evaluations, and ensure staff competency.
- Perform radiologic exams within qualifications and competencies.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Daily supervision of radiology employees.
- Conduct timely employee evaluations.
- Ensure competencies of staff performing radiologic exams.
