Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 3 months
Shift: Day Shift
Hours: 16-20 hours per week

Perform administrative and therapeutic activities related to dietetics, including overseeing food operations and supervising resident contact.
Assess residents' nutritional needs and appropriateness of therapeutic diets.
Complete nutritional assessments using electronic medical records (Point Click Care).
Consult with physicians and healthcare personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions.
Inspect meals for compliance with prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
Educate residents and families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, food selection, and preparation.
Assist in presenting diet instructions and charting.
Maintain communication with medical, nursing, and other departments regarding food service and therapeutic procedures and policies.
Evaluate resident food service and menus, coordinating with production staff.
Complete MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments.
Maintain direct resident dietitian contact and document visitations, communicating results to dietary and administrative personnel.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and skin care rounds.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Valid Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license in Massachusetts
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential
Bachelor’s degree in Food or Nutrition
Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting
Working knowledge of state documentation procedures

No prior travel experience required.
