Sleep Technologist
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)

Job Description
- Provide patient care for sleep study patients, including applying electrodes, belts, and sensors.
- Perform bio-calibration and monitor polysomnograms.
- Conduct therapy oxygen, CPAP, or BiPAP treatments per policy.
- Stage and score sleep study data according to AASM guidelines, identifying disorders such as RERA, hypopnea, and apnea.
- Document patient records and prepare patient notes including test results, therapy responses, side effects, and patient/family education.
- Review physician orders and patient charts including lab work, diagnostics, consultations, and nursing notes.
- Complete billing within 24 hours of service.
- Educate patients on the use of oxygen, CPAP, BiPAP, common side effects, and explain terminology and data.
- Communicate with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) staff regarding patient evaluations and care instructions.
- Collaborate with other Respiratory Therapists to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in teaching students and mentoring ancillary professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographer, with experience within the last year.
- CPSGT credential.
- Current BLS certification.
- Associate’s degree required, with acceptable fields of study including Polysomnographic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or any related area.
