Registered Nurse – Outpatient Hematology/Oncology

Location: State College, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, no weekends or holidays
Hours: 40 hours per week (shifts between 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM)


Job Description

  • Provide professional nursing care to oncology patients following established standards and healthcare practices.
  • Assist providers in patient care and education.
  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in coordinating patient care.
  • Demonstrate competence in making professional judgments related to patient care.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of hematology/oncology nursing experience within the last year.
