Job Opportunity: Surgical Services Manager / OR Scrub

Location: Calais, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Under the direction of nursing leadership, you will manage the Surgical Services Department, directing age-appropriate activities and making immediate administrative decisions within your scope. You may also perform other relevant duties as assigned. Confidentiality and alignment with organizational mission and values are essential.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Maine
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (may be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• CNOR certification required
• Minimum 3 years perioperative nursing experience

Required Skills and Abilities

• Clinical proficiency in age-appropriate patient care using the nursing process
• Leadership skills including communication, organization, conflict management, and problem solving
• Ability to function independently and respond rapidly and efficiently in emergencies
• Advanced computer skills
• Ability to scrub in general and orthopedic surgeries
