Job Opportunity: RN Flex Pool - Days

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Float between various medical and surgical units including Medical Unit, Laulima Unit (surgical acute), and Cardiovascular Unit (rarely)
Work 12-hour day shifts (06:45 to 19:15), scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation
Use equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
- Laulima Unit: 1:6
- Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
Professional nursing attire required (clean scrubs)
Orientation provided for each unit
Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday

Required Qualifications

Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment (no exemptions accepted)
2 to 10 years of nursing experience (use higher end if uncertain)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC

Additional Notes

No guarantee of hours beyond scheduled 36 per week
Nurse-to-patient ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves
