Job Summary

Support the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) by handling loaner and consignment trays, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the sterilization process, and maintaining efficient production workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming loaner and consignment trays for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify tray contents before and after sterilization according to standards and documentation.
• Track trays throughout sterilization and return cycles in coordination with Production Coordinator and SPD leadership.
• Communicate promptly with vendors and team members to ensure timely processing of trays.
• Support daily production flow by prioritizing workloads and meeting operational deadlines.
• Identify and escalate issues related to tray contents, timing, or documentation.
• Maintain organized workspaces to support SPD efficiency.
• Assist with vendor coordination, delivery confirmations, and documentation.
• Accurately record data in tracking systems to ensure traceability of tray movements and sterilization records.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Help identify opportunities for process improvement in accuracy, turnaround time, or communication.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience, including experience with loaner and consignment trays.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and documentation procedures.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, positive attitude.
