CVOR Tech Position

Location: Billings, Montana
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (89 days ≈ 13 weeks)


Job Summary

  • Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile supplies and sterile technique.
  • Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.
  • Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to doctor’s preference lists.
  • Provide appropriate instrumentation, sutures, and supplies; maintain a sterile environment.
  • Assist surgeon by passing instruments during cases.
  • Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique and policy.
  • Assist in maintenance and care of specimens; prepare for laboratory analysis.
  • Handle specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps per policy and standards.
  • Assist with timely turnover of rooms, including cleanup, replacement, and restocking of supplies and equipment.
  • Care for instruments and equipment.
  • May float to other departments within competency and qualifications based on business need.
  • May be required to be placed on-call during regularly scheduled shifts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Regular attendance on-site during scheduled business hours or shifts is required.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
  • Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of CVOR scrubbing experience.
  • At least 1 year of cardiovascular (CV) experience as a Surgical Tech.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 1 year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital is preferred.
