Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the operating room unit.
Implement procedures and theories related to perioperative nursing care.
Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care for integration with the healthcare team.
Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing hazards and incidents.
Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare the OR suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications.
Interview patients using two identifiers (name and birthdate).
Transport patients safely to and from the OR suite and position/prep patients for procedures.
Support the surgical team during procedures by responding to requests for supplies, blood, specimens, medications, dressings, etc.
Provide handoff to receiving RN in PACU or other units after surgery.

Valid RN license in Illinois.
Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
