Job Summary

Perform Ultrasound procedures to obtain imaging results according to physician specifications. Responsibilities include patient transfer for examinations, assisting with the Ultrasound process, operating Ultrasound imaging equipment, and ensuring quality and timeliness of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Ultrasound imaging and related equipment appropriately
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients for Ultrasound procedures
• Coordinate examinations to maintain quality and continuity of care
• Follow provider imaging orders accurately
• Submit images and clinical information to Radiologists for interpretation
• Evaluate image quality effectively
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
• Utilize and maintain department supplies properly
• Practice sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention policies
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines safely

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including vascular sonography
• Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
• Associate’s degree
• ARDMS registry certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
