Pharmacy Operations Manager

Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shift

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Valid Pharmacist license in California
• 5 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital Pharmacy setting
• Pharmacist experience within the last year

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a PGY1 residency
• Experience managing, developing, coordinating, and implementing pharmacy delivery and documentation systems
• Experience with pharmacy information systems
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience managing projects and teams

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees pharmacy operations across clinical, financial, administrative, and information systems functions
• Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls workflow
• Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates pharmacy staff
• Maintains compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Manages medication inventory, controlled substances records, and medication distribution systems
• Supports budgeting, charge capture, purchasing, and vendor selection
• Coordinates pharmacy technology, automation, and project implementation
• Supports quality improvement and compliance with applicable standards
• Performs director-level duties in the director’s absence and staff pharmacist duties as needed
