Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Role Overview

• Travel assignment for an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Start date: December start.
• Shift: 8-hour variable days; shift times vary between 0700, 0730, 0745, 0800, and 0830.
• Guaranteed hours: 72 hours bi-weekly.
• Primary location: Interventional Radiology at the La Crosse hospital campus.
• No floating required.

Required Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN license.
• AHA BLS.
• AHA ACLS.
• 3+ years of RN experience in IR, Cath Lab, Critical Care, ER, or Recovery.
• Sedation experience.
• Must be familiar with neurointervention, including stroke thrombectomy and embolization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Epic experience.

Schedule and Call

• One night of call per week.
• 4–6 weekends of call.
• Possible holiday call.
• 30-minute response time for call.

Unit Details

• Interventional Radiology procedural department with 2 fluoroscopy suites, 2 procedure suites, 1 biplane lab, 1 hybrid lab, and CT.
• The department handles a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient cases, from clinic patients to critical care, and from elective to emergent procedures.
• The procedural team typically includes the provider, RN, and 1–2 techs.
• Anesthesia may be involved in some procedures.

• Medical compliance must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance, or within 24 hours for a quick start.
