Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (NOC), 72 hours biweekly
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
• Float Requirements: May need to float to critical access hospitals and rarely to ED units for support
• On Call/Call Back: None
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Unit Information

• 10-bed medical-surgical unit, not normally full
• Typical day shift nurse-to-patient ratio: 2-3:1, may flex to 4-5:1
• Critical access hospital setting
• Patient population includes general med-surg, pre- and post-op patients, and outpatient infusion/injection patients
• 24/7 ED registration, physician, lab, surgical crew, and x-ray crew on-call

Required Qualifications

• License: Wisconsin RN License
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical-Surgical nursing with previous telemetry experience (must be able to interpret telemetry strips)
• Charting: Epic experience preferred
• Other: COVID vaccine required (exemptions considered)

Desired Skills

• Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital environment

• Scrub colors: Solid colors
• Orientation week is not guaranteed
• Candidate must start medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer (24 hours for quick start)
