Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 12-hour day shifts
Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Float Requirements: May float to Telemetry or other units as needed; assignments given at the start of each shift
On Call/Call Back: None
Patient Ratio: 1:7
Unit Size: 24 beds
Charting System: Meditech preferred; mandatory Meditech training required
Additional Info:
- No return to office (RTO) over 7 days accepted
- Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with 1 cancellation allowed per 2-week period
- No block schedule requests
- Orientation is bi-weekly, 12 hours non-billable

Required Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
Prior travel experience required (at least one completed travel contract)
Skills: Ability to perform phlebotomy and interpret cardiac strips
COVID-19 vaccine with booster required unless medically or religiously exempt
