Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ICU (Travel)

Job Details

• Unit: 10-bed ICU and IMC (Intermediate Care), plus 34-bed MS unit
• Shift Requirements: Variable day and night shifts
• Float Requirements:

  • Float to other units as needed, including MS unit
  • Facility float to Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk (floating may be prescheduled)
• On Call/Call Back: Possible low census call; minimum 2-hour call back
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (except during holidays or orientation week)
• Patient Ratios:

  • ICU: 1:2
  • IMC: 1:3 to 1:4
  • MS: 1:5 to 1:6
• Charting System: EPIC preferred
• Scrub Colors: Any color allowed
• Flu/COVID Vaccination Policy: During flu season, travelers declining flu and COVID vaccines must wear a mask at all times per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• License: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (ICU)
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required (one travel assignment preferred)

Additional Information

• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Facility may have variable census and staffing needs requiring flexibility
