Overview

Travel assignment in Duluth, Minnesota
13-week contract
Start: ASAP
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week

Schedule

12-hour shifts
Variable day and night shifts
Weekend/holiday coverage as assigned
May be low censused and placed on call; call-back minimum is 2 hours

Unit Details

22-bed intermediate care unit
Typical patient ratios: 1:4/5 on days, 1:5/6 on nights
May care for medical patients awaiting transfer
May occasionally serve as a 1:1 sitter or help with unit support tasks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Minnesota
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Intermediate Care (1 year of experience)
Intermediate Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS

Preferred Experience

Epic charting experience

Clinical Experience

Complex medical patients, including ETOH, CVA, and sepsis
Wound care and wound vac management
Antibiotic therapy
IV starts
Neuro assessments
Restraint use

Work Environment

Float to inpatient units
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Notes

Royal blue scrubs required
Candidates with demonstrated contract experience in colder climates are preferred for winter start dates
