Job Opportunity: First Assist Technician (Travel)

Location: Hendersonville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Discipline / Specialty: First Assist Technician
• Employment Type: Travel
• Work Hours:

  • 10-hour day shifts (06:45 AM – 5:15 PM)
  • Orientation week: 5-8 hour day shifts
  • Up to 40 hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week or holidays when unit is closed)
• Call Requirements:

  • Weekend call approximately every 6 weeks (Saturday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM)
  • One weeknight call per week (7 PM – 7 AM)
  • Holiday call: one 24-hour call and one 12-hour shift per contract
• Holidays Recognized: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Day
• Staff Meetings: Monthly (4th week)

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • CSFA Certification (NBSTSA)
  • AHA BLS Certification
• Experience:

  • Strong orthopedic background required
  • Experience with total joints, orthopedics (variety of cases), spine, urology, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, and robotics
  • No heart or brain surgery cases
  • Minimum 2 years of specialty experience (based on trauma level experience)
  • Must have completed at least 2 prior travel assignments (prior travel experience required)

  • Hard worker, resilient, manages change well, and social

Facility & Environment

• 10 Operating Rooms and 3 Procedure Rooms
• Facility may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty
• CFSA must be credentialed to the same standards as an advanced provider
• Standard traveler compliance applies

This position is ideal for experienced First Assist Technicians with a strong orthopedic background and prior travel assignment experience looking for a 13-week travel contract in North Carolina.
