Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Position does not require on-call availability
• No weekend requirement
• Meal break length: 30 minutes

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology
• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience for specialty

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Complete and maintain all required employment and compliance documentation, including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap required within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccines with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series or positive IgG titer (declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccines with boosters if needed)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug test within 30 days of start (no instant or dilute results accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• COVID vaccination series or declination required

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific training modules and policy acknowledgements prior to start
• Sexual harassment training required annually
• OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance required if fit test is failed
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Notes

• Candidates must be prepared to complete fingerprinting in Illinois to be eligible for the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry prior to starting assignment
