Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Floating required for most positions; may float to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed.
  • Must be willing to comply with float expectations and will be assigned appropriately in these areas.
  • Requires approximately 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Two supervisory references required, including at least one from a supervisor or manager (peer references not accepted).

Required Qualifications

  • Current Ohio State RN license or Compact RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred).
  • Ability to float to multiple units including NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical.
  • Must provide two professional supervisory references (one must be a supervisor/manager).
  • Must comply with all background checks, drug screening, and credential verifications as required.
  • Required certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required for NICU RNs
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • Required health documents and immunizations:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the last year (with specific protocols for positive results)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years
    • Seasonal flu vaccine (required during flu season; medical/religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination
    • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
  • N95 fit testing required within 1 year of start and updated annually.
  • Fingerprinting (BCI/FBI) required within 60 days of start and updated for each new contract.
  • Education verification and official transcripts may be required.
  • Criminal background check within 30 days of start, including 7-year county search and education verification.
  • Various state-specific registry and abuse checks required within 30 days of start.
  • Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement must be reviewed and signed prior to start.

  • Candidates must have a current government-issued photo ID matching their legal name on license and certifications.
  • Floating assignments require flexibility and willingness to work in different units as needed.
  • Compliance with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements is mandatory.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
