Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Athens, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks


Job Description

  • Weekend block schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Patient population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
  • Work in a busy CT department with a wide range of exams including trauma, strokes with perfusion scans, routine abdomen and pelvis
  • Contrast skills required
  • Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
  • No call requirements
  • Weekend schedule: Every other weekend unless otherwise specified
  • Must work major holidays if they fall during the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
  • Rapid turnaround time (RTO) max 7 days
  • Clinical screening required to determine fit before final approval

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Contrast administration skills

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Background check completed within 30 days prior to start
  • Education verification required (degree or equivalent tech certification/license)
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
  • Required immunizations or titers: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
  • Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or signed declination required during flu season
  • Skills checklist updated within 12 months
  • Work history verification and clinical references required

  • Orientation hours vary based on contract length
  • Floating within the facility may be required
  • No scrub color restrictions
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start
