Job Description

Seeking a highly efficient Mohs Technician experienced in histology tech and Mohs surgery specimen processing. The role involves processing specimens for up to 10 surgeries per day. This position requires prior experience; training will not be provided.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histology Technologist
• Histology Technologist experience within the last year
• ASCP-HT certification required
• Experience with Epic documentation system

Required Certifications & Licenses

• ASCP-HTL certification preferred
• Must hold a valid license/certification appropriate for Histology Technician role
• No on-call or weekend shifts required
• Must be able to work within scope without floating

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• I9 or attestation required
• Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG required
• Education verification required (transcript or diploma accepted as placeholder)
• Physical exam within last 12 months (for records only)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and health screenings required, including but not limited to:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • TB test (annual renewal required)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B titers or vaccinations (declinations accepted with some exceptions)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
• Professional references: minimum of 2 required

• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
• Medication/pharmacology competency exams required as applicable

This position is ideal for experienced Histology Technicians comfortable with high-volume Mohs surgery specimen processing and who meet the certification and compliance requirements listed above.
