• Acute Care Medicine including:

  • Acute Renal Failure

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
• First-time travelers accepted
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• License: Valid Registered Nurse license for Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
• Must have completed or be able to complete Relias Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam within 1 year of start and maintain annually
• EPIC charting experience required

Schedule and Work Environment

• Ratios: 1 nurse to 3-5 patients
• Weekend shifts every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Floating within service line as needed
• No block scheduling available
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include standard panels and be current throughout assignment
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap (or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (with yearly questionnaire)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Various facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality, hand hygiene, dress code, and latex allergy questionnaire must be completed and signed prior to start
• Orientation modules required through online platform (approx. 16 hours) unless previously completed in current calendar year

Additional Notes

• No more than 7 days of Return to Office (RTO) allowed per 13-week contract
• Parking available with monthly fees; free parking for straight night shifts
• Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
• Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required and must be updated annually
• No prior travel experience required

This position offers an opportunity to work in a Magnet & Teaching hospital with Level I Trauma designation, providing care in a short-term acute care setting. The role requires strong acute care medical-surgical nursing skills, EKG competency, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends.
