Job Opportunity: Critical Care Float Nurse
Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Job Overview
- Position is for hospital float pool staff, expected to float throughout the hospital including the Emergency Department.
- Floating occurs within the facility and within scope of practice as needed.
- Weekend schedule: Every other weekend.
- No call required.
- No block schedule requests allowed.
- Must work major holidays if they fall during the assignment (up to two holidays required if three fall within the contract).
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year’s Eve/Day.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Critical Care Float nursing experience, with Critical Care Float experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
Additional Information
- Orientation hours are non-billable and vary based on contract length (e.g., 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers.
- Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies including Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start.
- No prior travel experience required.
