Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Knoxville, Tennessee
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Includes call and holidays when applicable
• First week includes 4 ten-hour orientation days

Role fit

• Looking for candidates new to this surgical site
• Must be strong in ortho total joint
• Ortho trauma experience is required
• Attendance must be reliable
• Limited time off requests preferred

Required qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
• Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• 2 or more completed travel assignments
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Strong ortho total joint experience
• Ortho trauma experience at a 4-level assessment

Required documents and screenings

• Government-issued photo ID
• Emergency contact form before start
• Background check
• FACIS Level 3 background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM screening monthly
• HHS/OIG screening monthly
• Tennessee Abuse Registry search within 30 days of start
• Badge photo
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Tdap vaccine or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/documentation
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination

• PALS required
