Outpatient Clinic Cardiology

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract RN role in Columbia, Missouri
  • Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • 13-week contract
  • No locals within 50 miles
  • First-time travelers are accepted

Role Summary

  • Independently interrogate patient devices scheduled in the clinic during office hours
  • Perform remote monitoring for selected patients using vendor and clinic scheduling systems
  • Contact patients by phone or portal and send correspondence to non-compliant patients
  • Triage critical symptoms or device-related issues and escalate when needed
  • Complete initial post-implant device interrogation during follow-up visits
  • Educate patients on device function, communication, and remote monitoring expectations
  • Reprogram devices as directed by the electrophysiology care team

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Cardiology experience within the last year
  • 1 year of cardiology experience
  • Clinic experience
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Work Conditions

  • Very active role with ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs
  • Regular contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
  • Rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather coverage may be required
  • Must be able to work the full contract at the assigned location
  • Must be able to work the substantial time of each assigned shift
  • Must be able to take call
  • Must be able to work assigned weekends
  • Must be able to work at least 50% of holidays during the contract
