Overview

- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Job Expectations
- Must be willing to float to different campuses
- Every other weekend required
Clinical Setting
- Emergency department care for adult and pediatric patients
- Includes ambulance triage, ED holding, and lobby triage
- Hallway beds are used in addition to standard beds
Common Responsibilities
- Breathing treatments
- Chest tube setup and care
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Procedure sedation
- RSI medication support
- Trach care and ventilator care
- Blood and blood product administration
- Cardioversion and defibrillation
- Cooling and warming blanket use
- CRRT/dialysis
- 12-lead EKG acquisition
- Rapid infuser use
Scheduling Notes
- Schedule is posted 6 weeks in advance
- Shift start times may vary between 0700, 0900, 1200, 1500, and 1900
- Non-holiday DTO over 5 days extends the contract by 1 week
