Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

  • Location: Portland, Oregon
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Unit/setting: Pediatric Float Pool
  • Float scope: Must float to PICU and NICU; floating is required
  • Coverage: Every other weekend
  • Ratio: 1–2:4
  • Opening timing: Winter needs
  • Holiday availability: Must be available to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Critical Care Float experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Critical Care Float experience
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
  • Experience with Epic

  • Pediatric Float Pool traveler supporting pediatric patients across acute, intermediate, oncology, neonatal, and critical care needs
  • May be floated to:
    • Pediatric Acute Care Surgical (PACS)
    • Pediatric Acute Care Medical (PACM)
    • Pediatric Intermediate Care (PIMC)
    • Pediatric Oncology (Hem/Onc)
    • Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU)
    • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
