• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30

Unit Details

• Inpatient unit with 1 unit and 39 beds
• All specialties on the unit
• 50–60% of patients have some sort of technology dependence
• Patient ages: 2 weeks to 18 years
• Acute care unit caring for patients with chronic illness
• No drips or surgical patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Ventilator experience
• Tracheostomy experience
• G tube experience
• 1:4 patient ratio experience
• Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown experience
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• Experience with Meditech

Preferred Qualifications

• PICU experience preferred

Additional Notes

• 3x12 or 4x12 schedules are both accepted
• Flu vaccine exemptions accepted for medical and religious reasons
