Assignment Details
- Travel/contract role
- 16-week contract
- 12-hour day/night shifts only
- Shift rotation may include days, nights, or a combination depending on department needs
- Weekends vary based on unit needs
- Staffing goal is 1:4, with possible ratios up to 1:5
Patient Population
- Adults and geriatrics
- Primarily newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
Preferred Qualifications
- ONS Chemo Cert
- NIHSS
Required Skills
- MS/Tele
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Rapid Response Team use
- Feeding tube care and management
- IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Blood product administration
- Central line blood draw
- Peripheral line care and management
- PICC line management
- Starting IVs
Clinical Focus
- Infection prevention
- Fall prevention
Additional Notes
- No chemo certification required
- Electronic charting is used
- Parking is available for agency staff at additional cost
