Job Overview

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5x8 hours
Hours: 40 per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday; no weekends or holidays
Work Setting: In person, with possibility to be remote

Key Responsibilities

Utilization review
Clinical review and medical necessity determination
Must be highly proficient in EPIC and InterQual

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Utilization Review experience within the last year
1 year of Utilization Review experience
Proficiency in InterQual system for clinical review and medical necessity determination
Experience with Epic

Pre-Start Requirements

Government-issued photo ID
Criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
N95 fit test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start
Hepatitis B series or declination
Hepatitis C titer preferred; declination accepted if necessary
Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap documentation
Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
Flu vaccination or signed declination
Drug screen within 1 year of start
Signed HIPAA acknowledgement
Signed confidentiality agreement
Signed unit-specific job description
Signed traveler acknowledgement
Signed epidural pain policy review
Signed standard of care skin care attestation
Signed orientation info and acknowledgement
Signed skills self-assessment
Signed Pyxis agreement
Signed TB symptom review
Signed workplace violence prevention acknowledgement
Signed pass/fail testing acknowledgement
Signed infection control study guide review
Signed sexual violence and sexual harassment policy review

Additional Notes

Pre-approved time off is limited to 5 days per contract
Shift start time may be 8:00 AM or 9:00 AM depending on availability
