Medical Lab Technician

Overview

• Travel/contract position in Prineville, Oregon
• Full-time float position with variable schedules and floating to different campuses
• Variable shifts may include days, nights, and weekends
• 36–40 hours per week depending on schedule pattern
• First-time travelers accepted
• No RTO approvals in advance; RTO restriction is 7 days
• Locals not accepted within the 75-mile rule

Required Qualifications

• Medical Lab Technician (2 years of experience)
• Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ASCP
• Phlebotomy experience
• Experience with Epic
• State license verification required
• Background check required
• Diploma or transcript required
• Education verification required
• Negative 12-panel drug screen required within 90 days of start
• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire required annually
• Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year of start and annually
• Flu vaccine or agency declination/exemption required during flu season
• COVID vaccine record required if previously vaccinated; declination or exemption required if never vaccinated
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap required within 10 years of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required
• Rubeola, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation required
• Skills checklist required annually

Preferred

• Tech certification is highly preferred for phlebotomists

Additional Notes

• The role is a full-time float position with schedule and campus variability
• Weekend and night shifts may be assigned depending on staffing needs
