Job Opportunity: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Location: Oakland, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 5 days per week
• 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Ability to float to other facilities within the system

Required Qualifications

• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of Licensed Clinical Social Worker experience within the last year
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Experience in outpatient and clinic settings
• Case management experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA certified, original card required at orientation and while working
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA certified, no exceptions or placeholders
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA certified (only if applicable to clinical area)

Background and Verification Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check including specific counties and nationwide databases, must be current within 30 days of start and renewed annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcript
• Two supervisory references required (most recent or second most recent employment)
• Employment application with last 7 years of work history; gaps of 30+ days must be explained
• Work history verification for 7 years (not required for non-clinical)
• Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start including physician statement of fitness to work
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific approved masks required; onsite fit testing available as last resort)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations not accepted except medical exemptions)
• Two negative TB tests required: one within 1 year and one within 3 months of start, or chest X-ray if positive TB history
• Annual TB questionnaire within 30 days of start
• Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (IGG titer or 2 vaccines; history of disease not accepted)
• Drug testing: Standard 9-panel (excluding THC) within 30 days of start, re-run every 2 years
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Nov-April) if onsite more than 10 days
• COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended but not required

Training and Competency Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific learning modules (timing depends on start day and prior work history)
• Medication and pharmacology competency exam with passing score of 80% or higher within 1 year of start
• Unit-specific competency exam with passing score of 80% or higher within 12 months of start
• Core training parts I, II, and III with passing scores of 80% or higher, updated annually
• Cyber Security Awareness Training and Quiz (passing score 80% or above, required annually)
• HIPAA Healthcare Provider Module and Quiz (passing score 80% or above)
• Pass/Fail Telemetry exam required on first day for nurses in specific units (not applicable for this role)

Additional Requirements

• Completion of COVID-19 related questionnaires and attestation forms prior to start
• Emergency contact information must be provided
• Compliance with facility-specific policies on parking, uniforms, and COVID-19 preparedness
• Ability to comply with respirator medical evaluation and fit testing if applicable

This position requires a highly qualified Licensed Clinical Social Worker with pediatric and outpatient clinic experience, strong case management skills, and the ability to work flexible day shifts with floating capabilities. Compliance with extensive background checks, health screenings, and training modules is mandatory.
