Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel/Contract

Location

Bardstown, Kentucky
Must cover a large territory including 11 counties across two offices; travel time corner to corner can exceed 2.5 hours.

Job Details

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Patient Load: Approximately 6 patients treated per day
Setting: Home Health
Dress Code: Professional attire
Orientation: 2 weeks with work coach

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Kentucky
Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
Experience in a Home Health setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Common Patient Diagnoses

Stroke (CVA)
Aphasia

Additional Requirements & Compliance

Must complete standard background checks including 7-year location history and sex offender registry
Annual verification of EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG exclusions
Physical exam within 1 year of start date
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start date (with specific protocols for past positive TB)
Immunization or titer proof for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date
Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Professional references required (2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care)

Work Environment & Expectations

No weekend or holiday work required
Must be agreeable to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Notes and documentation will be managed via phone and tablet provided by employer

This position is ideal for a licensed SLP with home health experience who is comfortable managing a large geographic territory and working independently in a travel/contract role.
