Registered Nurse — Travel/Contract

Location

• Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Length

• 26 weeks

Shift

• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Hours

• 48 hours per week option available

Required Qualifications

• Active Nebraska RN license accepted; pending license is accepted if not in hand at submission, with booking six weeks out
• BLS certification
• 2 years of prior experience in a large, urban hospital
• EPIC charting experience
• Must be prepared to float frequently within scope, including to the sister campus if needed
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification

Assignment Details

• Travelers are assigned to a unit after confirmation based on experience
• First-time travelers are not accepted, unless the candidate has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
• Drips are required on all floors
• Travelers may be floated to multiple inpatient units, including medical-surgical, telemetry, stepdown, progressive care, oncology, trauma, observation, and neuroscience areas
• The assignment may include floating to the sister campus, which is 16 minutes away

Scheduling and Time Off

• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
• Up to 2 weeks of requested time off is permitted

• Scrubs are required and must be Steele gray with the Nebraska Medicine logo on the back
• Government-issued photo ID is required
• References from the past 2 years are required
