Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Job Details

• Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Nuclear Med Tech)
• Minimum Experience Required: 1 year in specialty
• Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Kentucky State License
• Equipment Experience: GE, Phillips, Siemens

Required Credentials & Compliance

• Current Driver’s License if driving is part of job duties
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal history check (all locations lived/worked in past 7 years)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks
• Education Verification matching specialty (transcript or diploma acceptable if verification unavailable)
• Professional References: 2 required (1 for non-clinical)
• Employment Application required
• Unit-specific skills checklist (updated annually, not required for non-clinical)

Certifications (as applicable)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• NIH Stroke Certification (if specialty requires)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
• Food Handlers Card (non-clinical food service workers)
• Tech Certification Verification (for allied professionals)
• NURSYS Verification (for RNs, LPN/LVNs, APs)

Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Competency Exam (required for clinical candidates)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical)
• Fit Mask Test (annual) with approved mask types; waiver process available for failed fit tests
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted for non-clinical)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (annual updates required)
• Baseline TB Risk Assessment within 90 days of start (annual updates required)
• Immunizations:

  • Measles (Rubeola) - 2 MMR vaccines or IgG titer
  • Mumps - 2 MMR vaccines or IgG titer
  • Rubella - 2 MMR vaccines or IgG titer
  • Hepatitis B - Surface antibody titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or IgG titer
• Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption

Additional Requirements

• Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry check
• Photo for badge (headshot with solid light background)
• Respiratory Fit Test Waiver process for failed fit tests (medical or religious reasons only)
