Job Summary: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

• Years of Experience: 3 years (strongly preferred)

Work Schedule

• Alternating schedule:

  • Week 1: Monday - Wednesday
  • Week 2: Wednesday - Friday
• No on-call duties

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted
• Additional certifications may be required as applicable:

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • NIH Stroke Certification
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs, including a pharmacology exam at orientation

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check required within 30 days of start; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Drug testing required within 30 days of start (negative 10-panel drug screen)
• Employment application and skills checklist required; skills checklist updated annually
• 2 professional references within 3 years of start

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year; updated annually (specific mask types required)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; chest X-ray for positive responders; annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or declination)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct-April)
• COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of various facility-specific documents including:

  • Notice of Employment
  • Standards of Conduct and Behavior
  • Dress Code Policy Acknowledgement
  • Agency Checklist
  • COVID Declination (if applicable)
  • HIPAA and Fair Warning Quiz Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Orientation and Safety Training Modules (within 72 hours of signing)
  • Annual TB Questionnaire
• Candidate must complete health record and compliance forms prior to start
