Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule:
    • 6 shifts of 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
    • 1 shift of 8 hours (7:00 PM - 3:30 AM)
    • Rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
    • Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
    • Call Requirement: None
    • Float Requirement: Yes, to like area
  • Shift Details: 6 shifts of 8 hours (7:00 PM - 2:30 AM) also noted

Experience & Skills

  • Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year (Radiology/Cardiology)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • Required Skills:
    • C-Arm experience
    • Trauma experience
    • Epic system experience

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography)
  • LSRT (Louisiana State Radiologic Technologist license) — temporary LSRT accepted (issued within 3-5 days after application)

Additional Requirements

  • Appearance: Black scrubs required
  • Time Off: Strict 5-day maximum for requests to return to office (RTO)
  • Special Notes:
    • Facility requires coverage through Mardi Gras (Feb 13 - Feb 22); minimize time off requests during this period

Compliance & Documentation

  • Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Government-issued photo ID matching candidate documentation
  • Drug screening within 30 days of start (includes comprehensive panel)
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent within 3 months)
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
    • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
    • Varicella vaccines or positive titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination (required Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • Competency exams and annual updates required (medication, dysrhythmia/EKG, core competencies)
