- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year in specialty (Ultrasound Tech - Vascular)

- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARDMS RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
Job Description
- Work in an outpatient vascular ultrasound lab performing ultrasounds for vascular providers.
- Most ultrasounds are performed the same day as the clinic visit; some on different days.
- Procedures include carotid, venous insufficiency, aorta, renal artery, dialysis access, vein mappings, arterial, and mesenteric ultrasounds.
- Majority of patients are arterial patients followed by venous.
Licensure
- No state licensure required for this position.
Orientation & Training
- Orientation sessions held bi-weekly.
- Unit-specific competency exams required.
- Pass/fail testing on basic tech knowledge at orientation (passing grade 80%).
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training provided during orientation (valid for 2 years).
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start.
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start.
- Immunizations required with no exemptions:
- Flu vaccine (seasonal)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive titers)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (vaccines or positive titer)
- Polio vaccine or attestation
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- Annual TB questionnaire.
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no instant tests).
- Background checks including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, OFAC sanctions list.
- Two professional references required from employment within last 12 months (at least one supervisor).
Additional Requirements
- Must have a valid government-issued photo ID and Social Security card (if used for I9).
- Must complete all required online modules prior to orientation.
- Must set up a facility-specific guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems.
- Competency checklists must be completed within 3 weeks after start date.
This position offers a structured workweek with no weekends or on-call duties, suitable for candidates with at least 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience and required certifications. Flu vaccination and other immunizations are mandatory with no exemptions allowed. Orientation and training are comprehensive, ensuring readiness for the role.
