Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse

Location: Pomona, New Jersey

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• Must have experience with scrub and circulate, including vascular/hybrid cases
• Types of cases: Cardiovascular, Vascular, Cardiac, Thoracic, GYN, General OR, some Robotics
• Cerner and PowerChart charting experience required
• Staggered 10-hour shifts with on-call and weekend availability
• Call requirement:

  • Two 48-hour weekends and 14 weekday shifts in 6 weeks
  • Weeknight call: Monday-Friday, 7 PM to 7 AM
  • Weekend call: Saturday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM
• Regular worked hours alternate between 6:30 AM - 5 PM and 9:30 AM - 8 PM
• Commitment to one full holiday (Christmas Eve/Day or New Year’s Eve/Day) required
• Scrubs provided

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience required
• Prior travel experience not required (first-time travelers accepted)

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• I-9 or attestation confirming work eligibility in the US
• Government-issued photo ID
• E-Verify or attestation confirming work eligibility
• Background check within 30 days of start (7-year search, including international if applicable)
• Education verification (diplomas or transcripts)
• NJ State License verification (RN license through NJ BON & Nursys) within 30 days of start
• Signed HIPAA statement
• Pass/Fail “In House Skills Assessment” during orientation (contract may be cancelled if failed)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Required immunizations/vaccinations or positive titers:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (vaccines or positive titer)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• TB questionnaire updated annually
• 10-panel drug test within 60 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) with medical/religious exemptions accepted upon approval
• References: 2 current references from supervisor/educator within past 2 years
• Resume/work history documenting 2 years of recent, relevant experience
• Skills checklist appropriate to assigned unit completed within last 12 months
• Performance evaluation completed by agency within last 12 months
• Work history verification covering 2 consecutive years prior to start (mandatory)

Additional Notes

• Travelers must submit Return to Office (RTO) documentation with submission
• Fingerprinting required only for Behavioral Health units (not applicable for this role)
• Orientation includes review of safety manual, dress code policy, and completion of self-learning orientation with post-assessment test
