Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech
- First-time travelers accepted
- 2 years of specialty experience required
- Call schedule: 1 night per week
- Weekend rotation: 1 weekend every 4-5 weeks
- Required skills include:
- Angioplasty
- Chest tube placement
- ERCP
- Gastrostomy tube placement
- Liver biopsy
- Paracentesis
- Stent placement
- Carotid angiography
- Discogram
- Embolization
- Vertebroplasty
- Epic electronic health record experience required
- Travelers must shave for mask fit testing (no PAPRs or CAPRs allowed; failure to shave will result in cancellation)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
- Proficiency in the following procedures:
- Angioplasty
- Chest tube placement
- ERCP
- Gastrostomy tube placement
- Liver biopsy
- Paracentesis
- Stent placement
- Carotid angiography
- Discogram
- Embolization
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Certifications & Compliance
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications may be required based on unit assignment (e.g., NIH Stroke Certification, CPI for Behavioral Health/ER if applicable)
- Background check within 12 months required
- Drug screening within 12 months required
- Immunizations and health documents required including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 5 years
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (annual)
- COVID vaccination preferred
- Hepatitis B status (titer, series, or declination)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella documentation or immunity
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health required
Orientation & Onboarding
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules required annually
- Various post-start orientation checklists depending on setting (acute care, home health, hospice, LTC, allied health)
- Respirator fit test form and confidentiality/security agreements must be completed prior to or during orientation
- Candidates must provide a passport-style photo for badge issuance

- Travelers must comply with strict mask fit testing policies (no exceptions for facial hair)
- Facility does not provide PAPRs or CAPRs and does not allow personal use of these devices
- All required documentation and certifications must be completed and verified prior to start
- This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment duration
