Job Description

• Provide occupational therapy services focused on pediatric patients with varied developmental conditions such as Autism, sensory challenges, fine motor delay, and regulation issues.
• Experience with feeding/eating therapy preferred but not required.
• Work schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (off Mondays).
• No on-call requirements; may call off based on patient volume.
• Guaranteed hours after call-off policy is met.
• Pediatric outpatient experience required.
• Experience in a children’s hospital setting preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience (highest required years of experience).
• Prior travel experience NOT required (first-time travelers accepted).

Licensure & Certifications

• Valid California OT License or eligible to obtain (processing time 6-8 weeks if licensed in another state).
• NBCOT certification required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Pediatric outpatient experience required.
• Children’s hospital experience preferred.

Additional Certifications (Preferred/Optional)

• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC certifications may be relevant for other roles but are not required for this OT position.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid photo ID (front and back) required on first day.
• Background checks within 30 days of start, including criminal, sex offender, national databases, and education verification.
• Education verification required: diploma and transcripts.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health without restrictions.
• Fit mask test within 1 year (N95 masks).
• Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months.
• Drug screening (9-panel, non-THC) within 30 days.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season.
• Badge photo meeting specific requirements.
• Completion of facility-specific forms including HIPAA, confidentiality, code of conduct, and meal waiver.

References & History

• Two supervisory references verified within 1 year of start from clinical leadership (director, supervisor, or manager).
• Employment application covering full 7 years with explanations for gaps over 6 months.
