Position Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (1730-0600)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Not required
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated at this time
- Local Travelers: Not eligible if residing within 50 miles of the facility
- Pending License: Accepted, but quick starts preferred
- Required Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Social Services)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not accepted for first-timers (must have prior travel experience)
- Special Requirements: Behavioral Health and Psychiatric experience required
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification required
- State-specific background checks and registry searches as applicable
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 12 months)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or signed declination
- COVID vaccine or signed declination
- Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (with some exceptions)
Training & Competency Requirements
- Completion of Providence WorkRamp modules including:
- Annual Regulatory Requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Social Services/ER roles
- Basics of Trauma Informed Care (required at this facility)
- Competency exams as applicable
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam if applicable
References & Employment History
- Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format
- Skills checklist updated annually if applicable
Additional Notes
- No floating between units required
- No accommodation for block scheduling at this time
- Locals within 50 miles are not eligible for travel contract
- Behavioral health and psychiatric experience is mandatory
This position is ideal for experienced ER Social Workers with behavioral health expertise who have prior travel contract experience and are ready for a night shift travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting.
